The IHC Simulator sessions are priced at $250 per person per session for up to two (2) participants.

All Technical Sessions are included in the price of a regular admssion (Member/Non-member, etc) ticket.  Advance registration is not required for Technical Sessions.

The Hydraulic Transport seminar offers an insightful overview of the key factors influencing the movement of particles through pipeline systems using water. This interactive session will cover the fundamental principles of hydraulic transport, explore pump and pipeline characteristics, and delve into the phenomenon of cavitation. You’ll learn from IHC’s experienced trainer and also benefit from the diverse perspectives of fellow participants from various backgrounds and companies. Learn by doing during this one-hour experience on a Beaver CSD Simulator. Simulator training is not just for the operators, however also very insightful for sales managers, project managers, production engineers, field engineers, and many more! Choose from one of the standard scenarios or bring your own questions! The available training modules include:

  • CSD start up procedures
  • Swinging; sideways and over-undercutting
  • Dredging in either sand, clay or soft rock
  • Dredging in two or more layers
  • Discharging through different pipeline length

Shuttles will be provided to transport those interested in joining an excursion to San Elijo to view the ongoing work of the  San Elio Lagoon Restoration Project.  The San Elijo Lagoon Inlet project, begun in February 2025, will address the challenge of sand accumulation in the lagoon’s main channel and inlet. The project will involve aquatic dredging east of the Coast Highway 101 bridge in Cardiff-by-the-Sea to the San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center, followed by a land-based excavation west of the Coast Highway 101 bridge. Tours will be guided by staff from Moffat & Nichol and on-site project personnel.
